For special circumstances we may offer retesting as well as video submission if someone fails at one of the On Site Trainings. Registrants are required to pass the written exam before attending one of the On Site Trainings. With Level-2 of the CFSC we are applying that original mission statement to the athlete population and the programming system.
To achieve this we are using the same educational process that has been so successful with Level Once you register for Level-2 keep in mind you must already be Level-1 certified you will gain access to the educational material on the back end of our website. We have about 5 hours of lecture content, the Level-2 Coaching Manual, and a multiple choice exam based off of that content which must be passed before the event. This allows us to dedicate the whole 1-day on site training to practical education.
Focus will be on athlete specific warm-ups, speed drills, medball exercises, plyometics, and of course strength training. Today nearly every athletic training room and most strength and conditioning facilities contain an array of foam rollers in different lengths and densities.

The use of foam rollers has progressed in many circles from an acupressure-type approach to self-massage. The roller is now used to apply sweeping strokes to the long muscle groups like the calves, adductors and quadriceps, and small, directed force to areas like the TFL, hip rotators and glute medius.
When you picture a muscle as a band with a knot in it, the foam roller is what unties the knots. This is what allows us to create tissue length, and what allows us to stretch. Athletes should be instructed to use the roller to search for tender areas or trigger points, and to roll these areas to decrease density and over-activity. As a general rule of thumb, ten slow rolls are done in each position, although there are no hard and fast rules for foam rolling.

Please try again later. Paperback Verified Purchase. This is a tough book to review. I had one rieview up, but took it down because it did not flow right. I'll try again. This time I'm just going to create a list of observations and add to it from time to time. Do not buy this book unless you have access to the internet to find out what some of the exercises are. Maybe if you already know what a "Heiden and stick" exercise is you won't need the internet, but I doubt it.
